"Overwhelmed with gratitude"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as a relative),

My husband suffers from sleep apnea (so I guess I do too! ) and has had the support of East Surrey hospital for the last 10 years since he was diagnosed.

Last night his machine broke, having served us both well for the last 7 years. He rang Varnim at the hospital this morning and following a trip to the hospital this very afternoon, he is now SOUND asleep upstairs as the proud owner of the latest CPAP model and mouth piece, following Varnim's decision to condemn the ' deceased' previous model.

I felt so overwhelmed with gratitude as well as the amazing service of the hospital that I needed to put my feelings into action. I hope therefore this message will make its way to the right people in the huge organisation that IS our beloved NHS and serve to at the very least pass on my thanks to all.

There is a lot to be said for sleeping "soundly" and I am hugely grateful that my husband can now function better tomorrow than I'm sure he did today after just one lousy night without his machine, let alone the dangers of being without this great invention.

Thank you NHS

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such kind words. I will make sure that I pass them on and I am very pleased that we could help. He is amazing.

Best wishes
