Hi
My mother was recently in the Victoria hospital. Both she and I were extremely happy with the care and have only one issue which I feel could be improved very quickly and without much expense.
My 81 year hold mother came into hospital and was already on various drugs. Upon release she was given other drugs and all original drugs also returned to her. It was not at all clear to us what she had to take and in the end had to phone up the ward again for clarification. I really do feel that the drugs should be dispensed in a far clearer way with a sheet of typed information which gives a summary of what drugs she should now be on and when these should be taken. I also think that any now irrelavant drugs should not be handed back to the patient.
I would stress that the care was excellent but I do feel this is quite a big issue that could be so easily addressed
"extremly good care but not happy with the way the drugs were dispensed upon release"
