About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

Initially I was offered a hospital totally out of my area which friend and family have also experienced. Without transport it is impossible to visit these hospitals. Having said that I did receive and appointment at my local hospital but have had to wait some weeks to go.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with the TRAQS team. We appreciate that not all patients can accept an appointment outside their local area due to transport restrictions, (although there is free patient transport available for patients who meet the strict criteria). TRAQS will always offer patients the earliest available appointment at the beginning of the Choice discussion but it is the patients decision whether they are able to accept an appointment further away or they wish to wait for a local appointment.

Unfortunately the waiting time for all appointments is outside TRAQS control as we rely upon the hospitals to release the available appointments to us so that we can offer them to patients when they are contacted by TRAQS. We wish you well for the future and would like to thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback with the TRAQS team
