"Maternity dept do not deal with mid pregnancy..."

About: Newham General Hospital

I am 15 weeks pregnant and after having had treatment in another hospital due to being away for the Christmas period I called Newham Maternity Dept to inform them that I was in severe pain and bleeding. They did not care and told me to call back in 3 weeks when I am at 18 weeks or go to a&e and sit and wait for. GP to refer me to the maternity dept. The midwife that booked me in has not given any emergency contact numbers to call and has not given me her number. I will definitely be transferring my care to the hospital that has previously been dealing with me and I would not recommend Newham to anybody! Basically, if you're between 12 and 18 weeks pregnant and have an emergency, you're expected to just deal with it yourself or go to a&e and wait for hours for them to refer you to maternity anyway!!!
