"Three treatments and all positive"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I moved to Colchester ten years ago and for the first eight years didn’t need the hospital. Then I fell over and broke my wrist and my knee cap. I received first class care – everyone from the receptionist in A&E to the orthopaedic surgeon treated me with dignity and respect. As I entered my fifties I needed the hospital again – this time the endocrinology department. Again – I couldn’t have wished for better care. Then on Boxing Day my mother in law – who lived out of region – was admitted after being unwell. Once more the care she had was first rate. I do not have any complaints about the treatment or the care received or the conduct or behaviour of any member of staff. Thank you.

Many thanks for your comments and taking the time to submit them. We try really hard to improve our services based on the comments we receive from our patients, their relatives or carers. We have a quarterly At Our Best Awards scheme which recognises staff achievements and thanks them for what they do. It has a team category, an individual and a volunteer category. You could enter the team/the person you were kind enough to write in about, by clicking here! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/At_Our_Best_Awards Also, could you email me, using the reference “+ve Comment on Accident and emergency services at 05/01/2015 09:23:29”, please so we can pass on your good wishes? Many thanks Paul Searle, Head of Communications Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust info@colchesterhospital.nhs.uk
