About: Abbey and Lady Bay Children's Centre

(as the patient),

Having been in a difficult relationship with my abusive alcoholic husband for several years, I want to highlight the incredible help I've received from my family support worker, Glynis at the Abbey and Lady Bay children's centre (Nottinghamshire).

She has supported me in my choices and helped me find extra advice and support when needed, including very useful legal help. She has repeatedly supported me through frightening and difficult emergency situations. Recently, she also attended a stressful court hearing with me, when my parents were unable to attend with me.

I am very impressed with her support and feel that she has helped me to come to terms with my situation and get out of an abusive relationship.

It is always good to hear that families like yours have benefitted from an excellent service from the Children's Centre. It sounds like you have established a positive outcome and overcome many barriers that have left you empowered to move forward with your life.

The Health and Family Support Team at the centre work hard to ensure families get a great service and you have commented that Glenis really did help you overcome your situation.
