"Proud to have an nhs"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

My dear dad was unwell over Christmas and took a turn for the worst on 4th January and was obvious he needed emergency care urgently. 1 called 999 and was reassured that an ambulance was on its way, The crew arrived within 10 minutes and dad was admitted to MPh in Taunton with me as a passenger. The care Dad received from home to hospital was unbelievable, so kind and caring.

On arrival, straight to resus, where Dad had one to one care with a special nurse and a doctor for over 5 hrs who showed him respect and dignity at all times before being admitting him to the medical ward. Not only did they work to get dad in a stable condition from his life threatening condition, they were so very kind to me, explaining everything throughout. .

I cannot thank everyone enough from the ambulance crew, the doctor, the nurses and the girls on reception.

Brilliant and so proud to have a nhs,

Hoping Dad will make a recovery which seems to be going I the right direction. Thank you from my heart to you all from me and all the family

Dear sistersliegh

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I sincerely hope your dad makes a speedy recovery.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the 999 call taker and ambulance crew who came to your dad's aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
