"Disgusting"

About: New Cross Hospital

We visited the emergency department 2 days ago, on entry to the hospital grounds there was a huge sign warning people who have experienced symptoms of the sickness bug to stay away for 48 hrs after symptoms have stop. These signs where placed on several places around the outside of the buildings. We park up then had a long walk through corridors to find the emergency department. We got into a+e and it was packed, we checked in at the desk and where told to take a seat. It was so stuffy in there no windows were opened and no air con, there was people around us coughin and sneezing, we then looked for a hand gel dispenser. There was two bottles on the reception desk which were hand operated and were empty anyway !!! Lucky we didn't have to wait long and discharged ourselves 1hr later. What is the point in having massive signs warning people to stay away yet they arnt puttin in enough measures to make sure that viruses and other illnesses arnt spread, there was 2 hand gels which were nearly empty near the entrance doors. Why haven't they had automatic hand gels in every avalible place !?!? No wonder bugs are spreading like wildfire. !! We will use another hospitals service in future, dispite Stafford hospitals bad reputation I can honestly say I has a much cleaner feeling and has got better measures to prevent spreading illnesses. I would highly recommend it !!
