My wife who is elderly and infirm tripped and fell in our home. I could not lift her up so I rang 999 and I was told by the Ambulance call centre that a major incident had been declared and to ring 111..
This I did when the same particulars were taken and they said they would pass the message to the Ambulance service! ! !
2 and a half hours later the Ambulance crew of Geoff Wood and Alastair arrived. They helped my wife to her feet by means of a lift and then gave her a thorough medical check over.
They were both most reassuring, pleasant and helpful. Thank you so much We are very grateful for all the help they gave us. `
"We are very grateful"
