Malcolm took an interest in the specific issues of my father when pretty well everyone else seemed to write him off as a cantankerous old man who had no wish to get better.
I can understand why this impression was so common but my daughters and I will be forever grateful to Malcolm for looking beyond the obvious, and nurturing a really effective, positive relationship with my father and encouraging him to take the medication prescribed.
My daughters and I visited him on Christmas Day and he was all smiles and laughter. The positive change in behaviour brought tears (of happiness) to our eyes. Thank you, Malcolm.
