Took my son to the QE A& E after he was involved in a RTC on his way to work earlier that day. He managed to drive his car home and was advised by police at the scene to go straight to A & E for assessment when he got home. I too him to the QE at 12.45pm and waited an hour for assessment for him to be told to walk over to the Minor injuries clinic where he waited for 2.5 hours to be told he should have not been sent to the Minor injuries clinic, and had to walk back with a nurse who apologised and had to wait in A & E for another 20 minutes to final have treatment. This is shocking and the staff who are trained to triage patients should know that the history dictates the correct treatment. His wait was unnecessary in the Minor injuries unit which caused us both much distress.
