About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I visited Drs and was examined and put forward for a referral for endoscopy. Seen relatively quickly. Full bloods taken and had letters to visit Dr to talk about findings on raised cholesterol levels

Appointment for endoscopy at Newport. The nurse took me through the procedure and reassured me. After catching some details told to wait in the waiting room for Dr appointment at 2pm and Dr saw me at 2: 05 (very good). Talked me through the procedure and explained that with or without anaesthetic I would still gag which reassured me not to bother with it.

Made to feel very comfortable during the procedure. Talked through all the way Dr explained his findings and showed me a photo and referred me to Drs for treatment.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your recent endoscopy. It can be a very worrying time for patients having to undergo a procedure but it is good to hear that you found the Dr's and Nurse in the clinic made you comfortable and explained things clearly to you.
