"I do not see that TRAQS is necessary"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

It was fine but I do not see that TRAQS is necessary. The procedure was no different to when TRAQS did not ‘exist’. Waiting times etc. are just the same. Just another expense on the NHS. We have always been satisfied with the way things were.

Dear Major621

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with the TRAQS team.

TRAQS work to support the GP practice staff, GP's and patients within the Telford and Wrekin area. We also help to ensure that newly developed pathways for services are shared with the GP practices and that patients are offered the opportunity of a local, Community clinic if appropriate for their condition. The Community clinics enable patients to be seen nearer to their home and they do not have to pay for parking as they do at the local hospital.

We appreciate that for some patients things may not appear to have changed except for the intervention of TRAQS but I am sure you can appreciate that TRAQS actually do much more than offer a Choice of appointment. TRAQS ensure that all patients are offered a Choice of Provider in line with their rights under the NHS Constitution. Prior to TRAQS this was not always the case.

Thank you again for taking the time to respond with feedback. I am pleased that you have always felt satisfied with the service the NHS provides and wish you well for the future
