After some 4/5 months of chest pains ,my daughter insisted that I attende SH A & E. It was confirmed later in the day ( 7th August 2014) that I had suffered a heart attack. I was kept in monitoring overnight and the following morning SH managed to get me into Wythenshawe Hospital where a week later I had major heart surgery. The treatment, care and respect I received at SH ,including all staffs was exceptional. I am over 70 year old and was not used to any form of Hospitalisation. The two doctors who took care of me in A & E and on the A ward explained every procedure to me,what they were doing and most important listened to my concerns about myself and the effect of my hospitalisation in relation to my wife and family. May I please say a little belatedly, thank you ,and all my best wishes for the future of the Hospital J A Vernon Mitchell of Reddish ,Stockport
