"How does this place justify its existence?"

I visited, for the second time this week, on the advise of the DSU at CUH. I had a minor operation that needs daily dressings and DSU assured me that the MIU at PWM hospital would be equipped to do it. They provided all the necessary dressings to take along with me so I just needed a nurse to it. The usual 'this job would be all right if it weren't for the patients' attitude was clearly displayed by the receptionist from the start. I enquired if the dressing could be done, the receptionist couldn't tell me, I would have to wait until my turn just to be told whether or not I could have my dressing done. There was no question that she could enquire between patients whether or it was a procedure that could be done, I could just wait until my turn with no indication how long that would be, and then I might have been told they couldn't do it and I needed to go somewhere else. I decided to leave and go to the walk in clinic at Edridge Road, which was extremely busy, with some very challenging patients, and waited 90 minutes to be seen, the procedure to about 10 minutes. What is the purpose of that place in Purley?
