"left abandoned and forgotten."

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

Had to go into the maternity ward in the pregnancy a few times each time we felt like we were left in the room and forgotten by the staff. This was evident when family members came to visit and we're told that we were not on the ward. My partner is a wheelchair user who needed help get to the bath room with a drip in her arm. A midwife tuck her when I wasn't there but then left her there and was only able to get back to her room when a cleaner found her. The buzzer system just seems to get completely ignored by the midwifes as when we pressed it is was over 20 minutes before someone came. When they did they simple turned it off and left saying some ones would be with us soon and we then left for over 3 hours with no communication. When I went to the station to ask them they were very rude to me shaping at me to get back to my room and wait. when my partner asked for pain relief again it tuck near 4 hours before she received and meaning she was waiting 8 hours between each. That double the time they say to leave between taking the medication. We where never told what was happening or even offered an explanation as to why we sent in or kept waiting. They whole experience has left my partner never wanting to go though the experience again souly bases on the care she received from the staff. At What point does leaving a patient in pain with no relief and being told she is not allowed to eat become torture to the patient. We were something whole happen at 5p then pushed back to 7 pm then told it won't be till 11 pm . And she was not allowed food and was just left. This hospital's care is none existent and the staff don't seem to care. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone and would rather drive the extra 30-40 miles to get basic human care.
