My husband came in to close a hole in the heart in September 2014 following a stroke earlier in the year. His treatment at the John Radcliffe from start to end was totally wonderful. The doctors were superb. They were professional, caring and funny which helped enormously to put both of us at ease. I was busy writing an Eulogy for my Uncle who had just passed away and they thought that was amusing not knowing that it was for my Uncle. Thank goodness that this service is here and local for us living in Aylesbury. If we had had to travel further afield it would have been a nightmare having a small family to contend with. Long may this tremendous unit always be there, saving lives. Julie and Barry

I am glad to hear that you put at ease, both by the professionalism and humour of the staff in the Heart Centre. I am pleased to hear your praise for this area, it is a great source of pride for the Trust, and for the staff that work there. It has been an absolute delight to share your thanks with teams who cared for your husband, and with senior nurses and management. I hope that your husband is recovering well!
