"A&E Dept Royal Liverpool Hospital"

I visited the A&E dept ( Royal Liverpool Hospital) with my mum today, suspected stroke. I was overwhelmed by the amount of people waiting on trolleys and wheelchairs outside of the A&E, 19 in total. It was like a war zone!! The staff were amazing; organised, professional and compassionate under so much pressure. How do you perform day in and day out? It was relentless. The lack of funding and resources was very obvious, but your determination and resilience shone through. I would like to say thank you to everyone, from ancillary staff and receptionist to doctors and nurses. God bless our NHS.
