"intensive care angels"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary / Neurosurgery

(as a parent/guardian),

Despite complications during my sons surgery to remove a tumour on his brain in November, He subsequently had to spend 5 unexpected days in intensive care seriously ill..

The one to one, 24 hour care he received during this time from a fabulous nurse called Sue and lovely calm reassuring male nurse called Matt has to be applauded. Despite this being the worst possible experience a mother has to watch her only precious son endure, their caring, reassuring and knowledgeable expertise enabled me to return home, knowing he was in the best possible hands.

Even the 2 hourly phone call checks during the night were met with the same kindness and reassurance his anxious family received daily.

My heartfelt thanks has to be acknowledged to both of you. Although he now has a long hard road ahead of him. I hope that at some point in the future he will be able to return to the ward one day so he can thank you in person himself. You are both a credit to your profession and I will be eternally grateful for care and attention he received from you both. mum. xxxxxxxxx
