"I cannot praise enough the paramedics"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I cannot praise enough the paramedics who came to me yesterday.

I was in Dorchester when I started to feel very wobbly, my wife called for help worried that I was experiencing a heart attack. The paramedics were fantastic, they helped me relax, brought the ambulance round then took me inside to carry out more tests like an ECG and other things.

As it happens I had caused the problem by taking an angina spray when I had already taken beta blockers that morning. They explained to me how and when I should take my medication, what I should do when I was feeling a unwell and made me feel better all round.

Dear Flits833

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope you are feeling much better now.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the ambulance crew who came to your aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and location that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
