"Dad's last days in Middleton"

About: Kettering General Hospital

My 90 year old dad was admitted to the Middleton Assessment Unit in October and stayed there for six days. He was then moved to another ward where he passed away. The treatment that he received on Middleton was superb, he was well cared for and his last days were happy and comfortable. He was at all times treated with dignity and respect. We were kept fully informed about his condition and treatment and doctors and nurses also took the time to explain everything to him. Thank you so much for all your care.

Thank you for taking the time to make the positive comments you have made about your fathers end of life care on Middleton Assessment Unit. It is always uplifting to receive positive feedback from family but especially at what must be such a difficult time for you all. I am pleased you felt fully informed about his condition and treatment, and that your father was always comfortable and that his dignity and respect was maintained as this is a standard the team strive for, your comments will be shared with the medical and nursing team. Please accept our condolences again at this time. Victoria South Interim Ward Matron Middleton Assessment Unit
