I attended the Digestive Diseases Centre at QMC to treat my ulcerative colitis. I found it a little confusing when I was directed to “Gateway H” only to find that Gateway H was not in fact the area marked by the gigantic H in a blue circle, but was further along the corridor! Better signs needed perhaps! It was really good to see Professor Hawkey, I felt that he had time to talk to me properly about my condition and he explained a course of action. As always he was friendly, approachable and helpful. The centre is very pleasant and has a good atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate cake.
