I was admitted to Ward 10 on 290414 for Oesophagectomy for CA. I had a three week stay in hospital and 17 hrs of surgery altogether. I come from a military background and don't suffer fools gladly. The care given to me was exceptional and I include all from the superb clinical team, the theatre team (often not mentioned) the ICU, physiotherapy, xray, and the amazing ward staff. The NHS often comes in for criticism and patients bare quick to complain and slow to praise. Castle Hill hospital is a beacon of light showing us how it should be done. Well done and thank you, collectively you've saved my life.
