"Excellent Care from an Outstanding Team"

I cannot praise the whole team of staff highly enough for the way in which I was handled as a patient and as a person. I "enjoyed" my 4 night stay following total knee replacement surgery immensely. Every member of the team that I met took time to engage and enquire about my well being, nothing was too much trouble for them and I felt valued as someone that they had responsibility for. I received treatment under the "Choose and Book" scheme and The Duchy fulfill completely the requirements and protocols, they give exemplary service and are a great advert for the scheme. From the outset of appointments through to discharge I was given every consideration and support. My consultant was a most engaging and human Consultant, he made me feel that I was his only patient. The management and the Matron, both took time to call into my room for a chat on several occasions.....not what you expect but again underlines the incredibly personal touches that for me were the norm at The Duchy. All members of the Housekeeping, Maintenance, Meals and Catering team that I met were wonderful, it is clear that they are valued and enjoy working together. All Nursing and Physio Staff were terrific, very attentive and accommodating. Just a huge thanks to you all for everything done for me.
