"visit to urgent care Centre"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

I had to attend the Urgent Care Centre for a minor injury. On my arrival I was dealt with in a polite and welcoming manner. It was very evident from the very onset just how busy the dept was. But also how well staff were coping and were doing everything possible to accommodate patients which felt very reassuring. When I was called to be seen, the Nurse introduced herself and apologized for the rather long delay. Throughout my treatment she was kind and considerate and respectful. Admittedly, I realize how much we can take for granted and perhaps be an little inpatient with services especially if there is a waiting time involved. But yesterday visit restored my faith in the Health Service and in particular my time spent in UCC as a patient and observer. Just watching staff cope (excellently) under huge pressure. However, there is perhaps two what I would call constructive criticisms. Rather than staff having to come out and call people can something like neon signage be put up. Triage location, does not offer privacy especially if there is language barrier or hard of hearing. Which I would imagine staff would take patient into a room? But overall well done to UCC

Thank you very much for your kind comments and positive feedback which have been passed to the team. The two other issues have also been passed on to them for review.
