"Excellent service from hardworking, caring staff"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

I was admitted through A&E after visiting my Gp with chest pains. My GPs called an ambulance. I remember A&E being quick, I don't recall much else as I blacked out whilst there and was then transferred to the Coronary Care Unit. I have nothing but praise for the staff on the CRU, who were considerate, caring and professional. I was transferred to the Coronary Investigation Unit where I again received excellent treatment by wonderful team of staff. Everyone I met at the hospital was kind and considerate. When my angiogram was delayed fro Friday to the Monday I was told why that had happened, and could see that the delay couldn't be avoided given the high number of emergencies admitted on the Friday. All treatment and tests were undertaken and everything was explained. Food was ok and whilst it couldn't be described as being equivalent to a top class restaurant, it was perfectly adequate and edible with portion sizes which were sufficient, given that your not exactly burning off the calories whilst lying in a hospital bed! Well done and thank you to everyone involved in my treatment and care.
