"Awful treatment on ward 5"

I was admitted at 41+3 via MAU after coming in twice with reduced movement and being sent home again. My community midwife rang the unit to state her disgust at how i was sent home. Arrived on ward 5 was told my dr I needed to be induced straight away on the Friday. Saturday morning still waiting told to get my partner in for 10am. Didn't go up to delivery suite till half 6. Induced in the room with 3 other people boiling hot and just a small fan. Then moved to ward 6 luckily wasn't there for long as I went into established labour. Fantastic treatment on deli every suite had to have an emergency c section after 23 hours. In theatre recovery my mum second birthing partner wasn't allowed to come in and swap with my partner got told to go home. I was told off for breast feeding as they wanted to do my babies blood glucose level but I wasn't told this prior to having skin to skin. Then had to wait in recovery as spiked a temperature. Complained my cannula has tissued no body listened and still continued to use it. Finally got a new one after the drip soaking my top. Moved down to ward 5 at 4am! Got no help with the baby felt like I was a nuisance asking for things as couldn't move much after the c section. On the day I was being discharged got given a pot of medication and not explained what was in it. Heard the midwifes mention be careful what you say to me as I'm a nurse. No one bothered to come and discharge me properly kept asking where my midwife was and he was always off the ward and never came to see me. Got told it wasn't a prison I could leave at any time! Save to say in the end I self discharged due to lack of care, compassion of the midwifes who just sit down. Currently on finalising my full complaint. I would never recommenced having a baby at the royal and have to stay on ward 5. Why continue to be a midwife if you have lost all compassion for the women and babies in your care!!
