I am annoyed that there is not an on-site pharmacy, people are ill and need their prescriptions immediately.

Thank you for your comment on NHS Choices. I am sorry you have found the lack of a pharmacy at King George to be a source of frustration. If your prescription of the medicine is urgent it will be given to you at your outpatient appointment, if it is non-urgent you will be asked to go to your GP. We believe this is the fairest and most efficient way of handling prescriptions. If you have a question after you have left the hospital, please call our medicines helpline on 01708 435418.
