"Dignity and Respect"

About: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital

I visited the hospital to have a biopsy following post menstrual bleeding. I was seen on time and treated very kindly and gently - I am in my 60s and have 3 children but now find intimate examinations extremely traumatic. The junior and the specialist nurse were excellent, very efficient whilst being caring and putting me at my ease. I was asked if I would like to be called with the results of the biopsy and a few days later I got a call from the specialist nurse to tell me there was no problem and no further treatment was necessary which was followed up a few days after that with a letter confirming the result. It was all as good as it could be.
