"Resuscitation A&E"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

My mother was admitted to resus last night. She has advanced Alzheimer's. The staff in that department were excellent. They treated my mother gently and kindly. They showed compassion to both my mother and myself. I was happy with her treatment. However she has gone on to a ward today and the staff do not know what she was admitted for! She is apparently being treated for something she didn't go in for. So I have gone from being happy that she is being cared for to thinking what will happen to her as she is unable to communicate with the staff.

Dear Jane, We are really sorry to hear your concerns. We would like to look into this and ensure that your Mother is being cared for appropriately. If you are happy for us to do so, please could you send your Mother's details to communications@uhl-tr.nhs.uk and we will investigate. Kind regards, Communications team, Leicester's Hospitals
