"Urgent Care 29/11/14"

About: Bishop Auckland Hospital

I had to attend Urgent Care at bishop Auckland today at about 15:00. The receptionist realised that I had breathing difficulties ( I have had a really bad chest infection). I was called within 5 minutes and seen by a very competent nurse who gave me excellent initial treatment. I was then taken to see a doctor who explained everything to me in a way I could understand. This in itself calmed me down and helped my breathing worries. He gave me some additional treatment which has addressed my breathing problem and directed me to my GP next week ("if there is a problem with an appointment...you must come back here"). I have nothing but praise for our hospital! The staff are wonderful , the hospital is immaculate and I have returned home with confidence. What more do we want from our NHS? Wonderful! David Jackson
