"My grandad in pain and left in side room"

About: Basildon University Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

He has been left in a side room of a&e for 8hrs, while being here he's only had his blood pressure taken once, there has been one bag of sailene as he's dehydrated, his kidneys are not working properly so this isn't a good sign, he has a swollen prostate so is in a lot of pain.

I have pressed the buzzer over an hour ago and nobody has come to see if he's ok. I have stood by the desk for 15 mins and nobody has taken any notice. People wonder why Basildon hospital gets bad press and this is the reason why. By the way he's 87 years old and in a lot of pain and calling out.
