"Ward D47"

My Mother was admitted to Ward D47 in November 24th 2014 for a Mastectomy. As you can imagine she was anxious and fearful of what lay ahead. Her experience and treatment has been exceptional. She was treated with great compassion and courtesy throughout and remarked that she could not have been treated better. She also said that 'the ward was constantly cleaned to a really high standard' and her overall experience has transformed her opinion of Sunderland Royal Hospital. From the surgical team and the Anaesthesia team to all of the Staff of Ward D 47 my mother and all of her family and friends extend their deepest gratitude. In a time when the NHS is undergoing great scrutiny and experiencing criticism from some quarters its wonderful to be able to celebrate successes and applaud the great application and professionalism shown by all concerned in my mothers treatment. Thank you for giving mum a new lease of life!
