On Sunday I experienced an extremely bad dog bite to my right hand.
Having arrived at A & E I was taken straight through by a nurse. I was seen by a doctor pretty much immediately. X-ray came next and orthopaedic department consulted. I was admitted, put on antibiotics and operated on that same evening.
The level of care and kindness I received was second to none. A member of the royal family wouldn't have had better treatment. I am now at home typing this with my one good hand albeit my left one which is unnatural for me.
From the Cleaners up to the Orthopaedic Surgeon I have never experienced such kindess. What a wonderful team of human beings. Oh yes, best I not forget to mention the young 4th year medical student who asked to speak to me. It's down to him that I'm using my left hand to type this message.
I must just also comment on the cleanliness of your hospital. Many thanks for taking care of me when I was most in need.
