"I cannot wish for a better stay in hospital"

About: Manor Hospital / Accident and emergency Manor Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I was taken ill late on 23/11/14 with high temperature so went to A&E. I went to reception who was very pleasant and sent me straight through to see someone. I was taken into a room and was seen by nursing staff and was given a very caring professional treatment. Unfortunately I had to stay in. I did have to wait a little for a room but they kept me informed at all times and was kept on eye on while I was waiting. I was then taken to AMU ward 6 at 3am where I was met with a very caring friendly nurse who booked me in and told me that a doctor would be in to see me and that my family could stay untill he came in they was provided with drinks and biscuits.

Throughout my stay I was cared for by so many nice people. I would like to say the entire ward staff were fantastic from the cleaners to doctor. I was treated with utmost respect with my own room (2) with my own bathroom. My room was cleaned to high standard everyday. I was asked everytime if it was ok to come in by cleaning staff. The nurses were very caring and understanding to my feelings and talked to me when I was feeling very low explaining all my concerns. My doctor was so nice and caring. I was really upset about my illness one day and he cared for me like I was his own family. He tried to reassure me and he even told his wife about how upset I was which really touched me. I cannot wish for a better stay in hospital even though I wanted so badly get home. It is my second time in hospital and the first time was fantastic and I said if I had to go in again I wanted to stay in the first ward (23) I was on and no other but I have to say I wouldnt mind stopping on either of these wards.

I would like to say a VERY BIG THANK YOU TO YOU ALL I do hope you all get to read this and that you are given the praise you so deserve. There are so many names I would like to say but I would be sad if I missed someone out. Only down point was the light (that had to be kept on) that kept me awake alot of the time. Maybe it could have a dimmer so the nurse can turn it up when she comes in.
