About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 )

(as the patient),

I had really good care. the consultant, the hand surgeon and their nurses were wonderful, everything was clearly explained and I felt really confident in what they were telling me. They were running very late and the waiting room was packed but a nurse came every now and then to tell us the waiting time and helped those with concerns with remarkable patience and understanding.

I work in a small team in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde which seeks to involve patients and carers in the work of the NHS. The biggest part of my role is in managing feedback projects across the Board area, one of which is Patient Opinion. It is my job to give our patients and carers the opportunity to give us feedback, and to make sure that this is passed to the right people to help us improve the services we provide.

Dear Esky,

Thank you for taking the time to tell me about your experience in the fracture clinic at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. I know that Outpatient Clinics can sometimes be very busy due to lots of different circumstances, however you have shown the difference it makes to our patients when they have regular updates and someone to listen to their concerns.

I will pass on your kind comments to the department as I know they will be really pleased to hear such positive feedback.
