"My experience at DRI"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Cardiology

(as the patient),

From seeing my doctor the appointment for DRI came in quick. The first appointment to have my heart checked was very professional and although we had a wait, the information and flow of events to different areas went well. I went in as a day patient and all again went well. I was given good information, good treatment and timescale (it went according to what the letter stated). However, after leaving the day care on the Friday I then had to go back due to pain. The duty doctor sent me the DRI assessment ward. We went in at 7.00pm and did not see anyone till 1.00am. During this time no one came in to offer any communication or a drink for five hours. Whilst in pain we got out at 3.00am. I feel that this treatment was disgusting and I would not now use DRI anymore. It’s a shame that this let the whole procedure down.
