"Treatment as out patient"

About: Tameside General Hospital

I saw the consultant regarding my knee and was told no further treatment was being done. I questioned certain parts of his decision and requested a second opinion waking out of the clinc as I will not be treated as a second class person which is how I felt. 5 weeks later I received a letter that was cc to my gp stating I requested second opinion to this date have not seen or heard off anyone totally dissatisfied with this place and never been treated like that at hospital before

’Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at john.goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
