"U/S scan at the dental hospital"

About: University Of Bristol Dental Hospital

The member of staff who undertook my scan carried this out in a rush - I was told everything was fine. I still have a problem with my throat and although the information I was given may be correct, the member of staff then turned around to tell me that if you over think things then you may be imagining symptoms. There were 2 other unnecessary people in the room and I was mortified by the comment. I didn't reply. The member of staff's ignorance was amazing. Very upset by these comments as I felt like I was wasting their time and it was my GP who referred me afterall.

We are sorry that your scan felt rushed - although our staff are working hard in a busy environment, we will share your feedback to remind everyone that this should not be the experience for patients. The additional people in the room are likely to have been student observers: this should have been clearly explained to you and we apologise that it was not. If your symptoms are still present then we would be very happy to see you again at the Bristol Dental Hospital, or your GP will be able to arrange referral to another hospital. Thank you for taking the time to post a comment on NHS Choices.
