(as the patient),

From going on seeing my doctor, I had a phone call off TRAQS to arrange an appointment for the next available appointment at a hospital. I said I don’t like travelling to places I don’t know and then I said I could go to my local hospital and he looked up the next available appointment there. It would have been nice if they said that you could choose your local hospital if you like. This would’ve avoided me getting stressed over going to another hospital if I hadn’t said I don’t like travelling.

It was a bit confusing when I got the paper work for the appointment off TRAQS as opposed to the hospital, I guess it saves on extra papers being sent out. The appointment itself went well and the volunteering hoodies do an excellent job showing us the areas you need to be in. The test went well too.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with the TRAQS team.

I am pleased that we were able to arrange a suitable appointment for you at a local hospital. TRAQS supply all GP practices with a Patient Leaflet which explains what TRAQS do and about what happens when a member of the TRAQS team contact you. It appears that you were not supplied with this leaflet for which I am sorry as it would have helped you and avoid causing you any additional stress.

TRAQS always send a confirmation letter when an appointment has been booked which includes the full address and postcode for the hospital/community clinic.

Some hospitals do send their own confirmation letter and we appreciate that this may be a little confusing but we are required to provide this information for all bookings we complete using Choose and Book which is a national electronic booking system which allows TRAQS to offer a Choice of hospitals within England.Thank you again for sharing your feedback with the TRAQS team and we wish you well for the future.
