I was admitted for a procedure on the Day Surgery Ward in Dumfries General Hospital earlier this month. On arrival the receptionist was pleasant and smiled. From then on all the staff I came in to contact with were cheerful and helpful. I had never had this particular procedure done before and the nurses were very reassuring.
The waiting area was clean, quiet and much nicer than I had expected. I was taken in to a room in private to have everything checked and the nurse explained gave me the opportunity to ask questions to me. The urologist was polite, introduced himself and shook my hand before he explained what he was going to do.
I would just like to say a big thank you for everyone being so nice, (and smiling)which made the admission a much better experience than I had anticipated.
Thank you
