"A plea to the staff that read the experiences of patients posted on PO"

About: Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

If staff read the posts and do nothing, ie no contact with the person who posted, what does that say about the service? To me I am afraid it typifies the lack of care that is present in the NHS mental health services. Just to read and do nothing to try to improve the service seems worse than pretending the service is always looking to improve, basically it is just a lie. Would it really be that hard to contact people regarding their bad experiences and to really see how things could be improved for the patient?

Dear "Vinny"

You are absolutely right in what you say. However your posting raised a number of issues that require a proper investigation rather than simply providing a corporate response.

I am sorry if we have not responded to you quickly enough. Ideally we would like to be able to discuss the issues you raised and more importantly the care you feel you need, in a more personal manner than a public posting.

If you would like to contact our PALs office on 0113 305 6620, or email palslypft@nhs.net. They would be able to ensue that an appropriate conversation could take place with the right clinician.

Onve again, I am sorry that you have been left feeling this way, and trust that we will be able to address these issues.

With sincere regards
