"Very considerate staff"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

On 28/03/09 I was taken to A&E at Doncaster by ambulance with what turned out to be a mini stroke. The people in A&E were very good. It was the night of that awful fire when the family was brought into A&E. Although it must have been bad for the staff, they kept their cool and kept us informed about the delay for us which nobody minded. The staff on wards 15 and 16 couldn’t do enough for you. They made my stay almost pleasant even though I don’t like hospitals. It was a complete contrast to my stay in October where the staff were nowhere as considerate.
