Even though the A & E deptment reception area was full with people waiting (Sunday) my husband was speedily taken to a ReSus bay with accute breathing difficulties & excruciating pain in his chest. Can't fault any of the A&E staff with their care & attention & most of all swift diagnosis, treatment & reassurance. One nasty deep chest infection that had took hold very quickly. Well done to that team for that day. You were brilliant........ One minor complaint---- it's needs seeing to in my opinion - the bed my husband lay on had two very rusty drip/IV poles attached to the bed. Not good. In fact it's appalling. The bed needs a refurb or recycled? Surely, there is money for a replacement? A senior manager needs to get a grip & get it dealt with prompto!!! Especially in a RESUS area of A&E. Does rust harbour germs?
"Emergency visit obviously/ RUSTY poles."
