"Premature birth and special care"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital

I gave birth of a premature baby at the C&W hospital. I have been well attended as soon as I arrived at the ward. Doctors were very nice and reassuring, they answered all our questions. I had an emergency c-section and there were lots of staff available to care for the baby. The baby went straight to the neonatal service and stayed there for 10 days. The staff there was amazing and we never had any doubt that this was the best place for our baby to be in at that stage. I also appreciated that the hospital feels like a small town rather than a hospital so if a long stay is needed it is easy to get a coffee with a friend or to get some food from outside, which is important as well. Post natal care for me was fine, very nice midwives and nurses.

Hello, It was very kind of you to take the time and trouble to write to us. We have shared your feedback with the Labour Ward Team and with the Neonatal Unit. Kind regards, Patient Advice and Liaison Team
