About: Raigmore Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

My baby was very ill. We know that baby will die after born or sooner. That day come...in the hospital everyone treated me, my husband and my baby as a part of the family. So much support and help from midwifes from daycase unit and ward 10 at Raigmore hospital...they look after me and my baby with so much love. Special thanks for midwifes Heather mckay and Emily Mcperson-angels is not enough word and for doctor Darren Thomas and for Gina Mcbean from day case unit 9.

Dear mum little angel

I am so sorry for your loss, words are not enough at times like this and of little comfort when your loss is so great.

I am pleased that the team looked after you and your baby so well and were able to make a terrible time a little more bearable, I will certainly ensure they receive your comments.

I am not sure if you are getting any in going help? If you would like to talk to someone or we can help in any way please contact me directly ... Linda.kirkland@nhs.net

Thinking of you and your husband at this time

Dear mum little angel,

I have just read your terribly sad posting on Patient Opinion and would just like second the comments made by my colleague Linda from Raigmore Hospital. Thank you for taking the time to post such a tender and thoughtful message: it will touch the hearts of all who read it particularly staff involved.

This a dreadfully sad time for you and your husband the loss of a much wanted baby is tragic at any stage. I too am so glad that you received such kind, compassionate and skilled care from my midwifery and medical colleagues at Raigmore – as Linda has said this has made your terrible loss a little more bearable.

I am sure Emily, Gina, Heather and Darren would have made sure you both you and your husband will have all the help you need in order support in the time ahead but if there is anything I can do, like Linda, am more than happy to be contacted my email is sarah.mcleod2@nhs.net phone no. 07827882371.

Kindest thoughts to you and your husband.

Sarah

I am telling everyone what hospital team did for us so much help and support...when I close my eyes I see Heather taking care of my baby, she spoke to my angel with love.
