"Non-communication is just the tip of the iceberg!!"

About: New Cross Hospital

Over the past two years I have had to visit New Cross many times with my mom, my husband and now my step-father. This hospital does not know the meaning of the word communication and are so busy playing musical beds they hardly have time to care for the poor unfortunate patients let alone consider how worried people are when they don't know what is going on. Yes we know, and are told many times, that there is a bed crisis! We know staff are over-worked (although many seem to wander about looking busy) but at the end of the day, theirs is supposed to be a caring profession and human beings deserve to be treated better. Not only are the patients distressed when they are just left not knowing what is going on but relatives get annoyed when they are fobbed off with lies. Unfortunately I can't bring my mom or my husband back to life but someone needs to get this place organised. My poor stepdad has medical problems and is 85 years old; he is not senile!!
