"We can see a much brighter future"

About: Talygarn Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My 21 year son became very ill last year and was found roaming the neighborhood naked on several occasions before eventually being taken by the police to Talygarn under Section. I 'fought' with the authorities believing (falsely) that my son was best being looked after by me (his mum), and was horribly rude to Dr Lyons and her team during this period. PLEASE ACCEPT MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES.

Within a matter of weeks, Dr Lyons had prescribed a really helpful set of medication, and after just one month, my son's schizophrenia was sufficiently under control to allow him back for home visits. He is now working with me part time as a gardener and we both see a much brighter future than could ever have been imagined a few months ago.

THANK YOU so very much.

Hello 'Mumrup'

Thank you very much for sending us your comments via the Patient Opinion website.

I will ensure that your feedback is passed on to the Talygarn Unit and to Dr Lyons, who I am sure will appreciate your comments.

It is good to hear that your son's schizophrenia is under control and that he is able to work part-time as a gardener.

Best wishes to you and your son for the future.

Regards,

Sharon
