"Quick, efficient, effective"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

Trip from home and back less than one hour! My wife sustained a small but nasty cut on her eyebrow yesterday. Arrived at GRH A&E, was seen in less than 5 minutes, fully steristripped and checked and returned home within the hour. Everyone pleasant empathetic and very helpful! Big thanks from us! Much more helpful than call to GP surgery requesting that a nurse there take a quick look that would have taken less than a minute 'no spare appointments today, go to A&E'.

Hi there, Many thanks for getting in touch to share this feedback. We're glad the staff at A&E were able to help. It might also be worth knowing that this kind of minor emergency can also be treated at one of the county's Minor Injuries Units (MIUs). We publish the current waiting times for our A&Es and the MIUs on our website here: http://www.gloshospitals.nhs.uk/en/Wards-and-Departments/Departments/Accident-and-Emergency-Department/AE-Waits/ Hopefully you won't need us again any time soon, but just in case! Best wishes The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
