"Asking for help took a long time"

Generally a bad experience.

I felt the staff were unhappy, complaining about the system in ear shot of patience and visitors.

After catching an infection in hospital having to have 3 operations, the 3rd being cancelled twice, then getting a secondary infection. Brought the staff attention to the bad smell of my wound, didn't seem to worry, apparently that had nothing to do with the secondary infection......Please - 5 days with the same dressing, no wonder there was an awful smell!

Unless you were a patient that kept staff busy, as a patient who din't make a fuss, when asking for help took a VERY long time!

I don't appreciate being warned to move as the matron will not approve.

To top it all, being told to attend clinic in 1 week, after no contact I contacted the hospital who had no idea I needed to attend....with an open wound, what do you do. Finally got an appointment with someone else, not my consultant who wanted to see me.
